Thermal bridging consultancy and modeling with THERM

A thermal bridge, also called a cold bridge, is a fundamental of heat transfer where a penetration of the insulation layer by a highly conductive or non-insulating material takes place in the separation between the interior and exterior building enclosure. The thermal bridges can result in accelerated heat loss through that area and localized cold spots on the interior of a wall that may cause a risk of condensation.

We will create a THERM model for all relevant junctions and calculate the thermal bridge coefficients (Psi-values ) and surface temperatures. We will produce a labeled drawing showing the lengths of thermal bridges in the construction and draft a report showing thermal bridge calculations and values. We will make recommendations for improvements if needed.
